The sparkle of a new year. . .

Here it is, January 1, the start of a new year. 365 days of possibility, adventure, and hope are before me. I don’t know what the future holds, but if I’ve learned anything from 2013, I’m certain of the following: the plans I make may alter and no matter what, God is faithful.

For the past two years (or so), I’ve resolved to be more creative. Thankfully, I’ve been able to do this in varying degrees through photography and writing and even a bit of music- but nothing consistent.Ā

Which is why I am so excited to write this post. This post is the start of a new blog- this blog- Of Matter and Meaning. I created the blog toward the end of 2012, and I haven’t done anything with it since. But now, it is active and alive. (Hooray!)

Among my intentions for 2014 is the resolution to take a photo every day this year- on this blog! A friend of mine did something similar a few years ago and her journey was inspiring to me (shout out to my friend, Yarcho!) I hope to be inspired by this journey and I hope that you also find inspiration through the images and words that I share.]

This blog will be a platform for this resolution, as well as a place where I share what I’m learning and thinking about- my observations, questions, and stories.

So, I invite you on this journey with me. Here’s to 2014!
