
Among my good intentions of 2014, I’d like to be more intentional about my health: eat healthy, exercise, maintain a work/life balance, etc. My intention yesterday, a good intention, was to go to the gym after work. I ate fruit and granola for breakfast, I even had a delicious salad for lunch- Thursday was off to a good start!
After work I went home to change into my workout gear. After finding my trusty running shoes, I walked past the front door and felt a preview of the cold that awaited me outside. Even though my journey would require 10 steps to my car and maybe another 10 steps from my car to the gym, I knew that it was too cold outside for my good intentions to be healthy (at least the exercise portion of those intentions).
Maybe another day?
