Meet the bear lion. There are many reasons why I love my job. This is one of them:
The bear lion is a mysterious creature. We’re not entirely sure what it is, but it resembles a teddy bear with a lion’s mane and contains a super magnet. He belongs to my coworker, Marci, and has a habit of getting stuck on the trunks of people’s cars.
On January 3rd, I packed my bags before heading into St. Louis for a Friday night rendezvous (I was leaving very early the next morning for home). It was dark, I was in a bit of a rush, and I failed to notice the bear lion hanging on the back of my car. He rode on the back of my trunk all the way into the city. Just after rush hour.
Thankfully, the bear lion survived his adventure and made it safely into the trunk of my car before slipping off into oblivion.
What a ride!
The photos (which were reenacted the next morning), still make me smile! Cheers to coworkers and good humor (and bear lions, of course!)
