Hey Readers!

Wow – it’s really been a while. At least – it’s been a while since I’ve published (2017). There have been a few times I’ve almost published a post – mostly around the time my subscription and renewal/expiration date.

Since the last time I’ve posted, a lot has happened. A (successful) finger reattachment. Realizing Whole30 is not for me. A new relationship. A new job. A breakup. Two soul-searching trips to Scotland (in one year!) A pandemic. A change in address. Working remotely. A road trip dreams are made of. A new relationship. And learning – lots of learning: a bit of Scottish Gaelic, new songs, new apps and technology, horseback riding, home cocktail recipes, and even a bit of cross country skiing.

I’ve done a lot of writing in the last three years – but not very much about my life. Sure – a few Instagram posts here and there, but nothing major. I used to be a frequent blogger – and journal writer – but the habit has tapered off over the years. The change in habit hasn’t been a bad thing, but I’ve recently realized (or re-realized) that some of my best thinking and best writing as a professional has happened while I wrote “for fun” (ie; blogging).

Which is what brings us here. A few weeks ago, I renewed by WordPress subscription with the intention of starting again. And what better month to start again than January?

So – how have you been lately?

For those of you reading – I’m glad you’re here. What have been some of the highlights for you over the past three years? What have you learned about yourself and the world?
